NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said after the Russia-NATO Council session in Brussels that cooperation between the alliance and Russia had been frozen, Yuga.ru reports.
He noted that Russia will not escort MV Cape Ray carrying Syrian chemical weapons for elimination. Talks between Russian civil and military experts will be suspended.
Rasmussen stated that the Moscow-Brussels dialogue will be carried out via the Russia-NATO Council. Moreover, the Alliance will activate cooperation with Ukraine and support its democratic reforms. NATO will strengthen the Ukrainian forces, help train the military and organize drills.
