40 OSCE military observers and a member of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center have left Odessa on a bus and headed towards Crimea, ITAR-TASS reports.
21 countries have sent their observers: Austria, UK, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, USA, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden and Estonia.
According to the Vienna Document for Confidence and Security Building, each state may send up to 2 experts. They do not need an OSCE mandate for the mission.
The expert group failed to reach the peninsula yesterday.
