Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed the request of Crimea to merge with Russia at a session of the National Security Council, RIA Novosti reports.
The session was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the Lower House Sergey Naryshkin, Head of the Kremlin Administration Sergey Ivanov, FSB Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Intgerior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, FSB Chief Nikolai Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Chief Mikhail Fradkov, permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
