Pandzhikidze meets with UN Commissioner for Human Rights

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay will visit Georgia in May. Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze made this statement after a meeting with the Commissioner, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend. The meeting was held in Geneva as part of UN activities.

During the meeting, Pillay and Pandzhikidze discussed the general situation in the area of human rights protection in Georgia and the reforms undertaken by the country in this direction.

During his visit to Georgia, Pillay will familiarise himself with the specific projects undertaken by the Georgian government in the protection of human rights.
