The press office of the Supreme Council of Crimea reported that the Autonomous
Republic of Crimea has formed ministries and departments independent of the Kiev
authorities. This was decided at an extraordinary plenary session of the
Crimean parliament.
According to the decision, Crimean ministries of Justice, Internal Affairs,
Emergency, Industrial Policy, Fuel and Energy, Information and Mass
Communications were formed, as well as prosecutors, security department,
customs, tax and prison services.
"The resolution was adopted in order to improve the management of the
socio-economic development of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, to
optimize the system of the executive authorities of Crimea, to secure the
rights and freedoms of the people of the autonomy, national and civic harmony,
law enforcement and public safety, as well as to ensure effective
co-ordinated work of the executive power," ITAR-TASS quotes the statement
of the Crimean parliament.
