Genrikh Padva, Russian ex-Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov’s lawyer, has confirmed an amnesty has been granted to his client, RIA Novosti reports.
The lawyer noted that the amnesty was kept a secret for some time so as not to “shock the public.” Reports about Serdyukov’s amnesty appeared yesterday.
