Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Turkish government may block YouTube and Facebook before the March 30 local elections, ITAR-TASS reports.
He said that the websites were encouraging espionage and immoral income-gaining. Erdogan blames the websites for hosting recordings of corruption in Turkey.
The recently-adopted law on internet management gives the Turkish authorities more control over the network. Ankara may block any website and file using providers.
