Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili has called violation of the country’s airspace by Russian combat helicopters a provocation, Trend reports.
Defense Minister Irakly Alasania said that the Georgian Armed Forces were in control of the situation and ready to react to any actions. He noted that there had been over a thousand violations of Georgia’s airspace since 2008. Alasania added that the country was always combat-ready because 20% of its territory was occupied.
