French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that EU sanctions against Russia will come into force this week, ITAR-TASS reports.
He called the referendum in Crimea illegal and a threat to stability of Ukraine. Russian assets will be frozen and visa-issuing for Russians and Ukrainians stopped. Sanctions may be delayed if Moscow shows commitment to de-escalation of the situation in Ukraine.
