The Cabinet of Ukraine was preparing an action plan for the “100 days – 100 steps of government” program, said Vice Prime Minister Vitaly Yarema at the opening of a session today, RIA Novosti reports.
Yarema asked Minister for Economic Development and Trade Pavel Sheremeta to activate the process and speed up the plan. Ukrainian Acting Presient Oleksandr Turchynov called the economic situation critical and said that the treasury was completely empty. Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk called it the most critical situation of the past 20 years.
Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych said at a press conference on February 28 that Ukraine was on the edge of default.
