Slutsky to head Russian monitoring mission at Crimea referendum

The Russian monitoring mission for the Crimea referendum will consist 12 members of the United Russia Party, 4 per the CPRF, LDPR and A Fair Russia Party and Leonid Slutsky, Head of the Russian parliament committee for the CIS, Eurasian integration and contacts with compatriots, who will head the mission, ITAR-TASS reports.The monitoring mission will stay in Crimea on March 15-17. The referendum will be held on March 16.Crimea decided on March 6 that it will merge with Russia. Voters at the referendum will be asked whether they want to join Russia or restore the 1992 Constitution of Crimea and stay as part of Ukraine.
