Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev, Head of the Azerbaijani State Border Guard Service and Commander of the border guards, and Army General Hulusi Akar, Commander of the Turkish Ground Forces, have met in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The sides emphasized the importance of border security, exchange of experience, expansion of cooperation. They observed the system of border control, goals of border guards, modernization process.
The Turkish delegation of Akar visited the Military Academy of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Higher Military School of Heydar Aliyev, education and training centers of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry. Akar met Turkish officers studying in Azerbaijan.
