Orthodox Jews to serve in Israeli Armed Forces

67 members of the Knesset have voted for the bill to oblige Orthodox Jews to serve in the Army, one voted against it. Opposition boycotted the bill, Interfax reports.

Orthodox Jews have been free from military service. Their community insisted that men should serve the country with prayers and studies, protecting the cultural heritage.
