Bishop from Turkey’s Echmiadzin, Marcos Ovannisyan, and archimandrite, Komitas Ovnanyan will arrive for the liturgy in Surb Khach Church, Akhtamar Island, Van Lake, Panorama.am reports, citing the responsible press-chancellery of Priest Vagram Melikyan of Echmiadzin.
Commenting on the protest of Armenians against the liturgy in the church, Vagram said that the decision was made and will not be changed. Everyone has the right to express his opinion, he said.
He said that Armenian clergy will take part in the liturgy and will read the message of Catholicos of All-Armenians Gagerin the Second.
