The Russian Caspian Fleet is holding two-week drills. Ships accompanying the Tatarstan and Dagestan missile ships, Ataman Platov medium-size marine boat and four high-speed Serna-type marine boats entered the Caspian Sea on Saturday, RIA Novosti reports.
It will be the first time the crews enter the sea after the winter rest and will be a conclusion of the winter drills. The ships will train attacks on over-water and ground enemies, usage of anti-mine weapons, search and destruction of mines, air defenses, organization of anti-sabotage operations.
