Baccalaureate system may be introduced in North Caucasus

The president's envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, has suggested introducing the baccalaureate system in the region, RIA Novosti reports.

"We are in the 21st century and aiming for the Russian educational system to fit the international standards. In Russia we already have several precedents of schools using the baccalaureate system. Students study one more year there, but then can enter international universities", Khloponin said.
