Tbilisi and Baku agree on cooperation in customs sphere

Georgia and Azerbaijan have signed an agreement on cooperation in customs matters.

The document has been signed by the Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Irakli Gvaramadze, and the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Aydin Aliyev .

The document was signed in Tbilisi in the framework of an international conference of customs administrations of Europe. From the Georgian side the signing was implemented by the head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, Irakli Gvaramadze, and from the Azerbaijani side by the chairman of the State Customs Committee, Aydin Aliyev.

"This is an important agreement, which provides mutual cooperation and exchange of information. We have signed similar agreements with many countries, and among close neighbors only Azerbaijan remained uninvolved,"  Trend quotes Gvaramadze.
