Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov today held a meeting with ambassadors and plenipotentiary representatives of CSTO member states to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the forthcoming meeting of the foreign ministers of the member countries.
"At the meeting they discussed the issues of strengthening foreign policy coordination within the organization and preparation for the upcoming meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers in Moscow on April 3. Sergei Lavrov briefed partners on the implementation of the priorities of of the Russian representation in the CSTO, approved by the chairman of the CSTO Council of Collective Security, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the decisions of the Sochi Session of the CSTO (2013)," the information and press department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, reports, according to RIA Novosti.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also reports that that "exchange of the views on international issues, including the situation in Afghanistan and developments in Ukraine and Crimea, also took place."
