The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has withdrawn its ambassador from Russia for consultations on the situation around Crimea, the website of the Department reports.
"In connection with the situation in Crimea and the need to discuss some international resolutions, the Ukrainian side has decided to recall its ambassador Vladimir Yelchenko from Russia," Gazeta.ru quotes a statement by the ministry.
The referendum was held yesterday in Crimea, where 96.6% of the residents voted in favor of the autonomy reunifying with Russia.
