Iran wants international society to help resolve Syrian crisis

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has told Lakhdar Brahimi, Special Envoy of the UN and the LAS, in Tehran that international society should help resolve the Syrian crisis, ITAR-TASS reports.Border control, prevention of gun shipments and militant infiltration were the key aspects to resolve the crisis, noted the deputy minister. He pointed out the need for a serious regional counter-terrorism campaign.Abdollahian expressed support for Brahimi’s efforts to settle the crisis in the Middle East and Syria.Brahimi thanked Iran for its assistance and said that the expansion of ties of Iran and regional countries, especially Saudi Arabia, would be a highly efficient and constructive strategy.
