Spokesman of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, told the BBC that US and EU sanctions would encourage Russia to find other partners, RIA Novosti reports.
He emphasized that economic sanctions against Russia would be inappropriate and Russia would still strive for economic cooperation.
Peskov called the EU the main economic, investment and trade partner of Russia. He added that talks about global economic problems without Russia would not be an adequate discussion.
