Andrey Parubiy, Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security Council, declared yesterday that the country was quitting the CIS, RIA Novosti reports.
Moscow expressed regret that Ukraine left the organization, despite assurances that it would remain its member. Ukraine’s chairmanship in the organization will be passed to Belarus.
