The population of the Republic of Crimea will not have to pay for Russian passports
"Passports of citizens of the Russian Federation to residents of the Republic of Crimea are being issued for free," RIA Novosti quotes the message of the Crimean MIA.
On March 16 Crimea held a referendum on the status of the autonomy, more than 96% of voters were in favor of joining Russia. Crimea and Russia signed an agreement on March 18 to join the Republic and Sevastopol to Russia.
