UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin constructive and productive.
"I had a very constructive and productive meeting with President Putin," quoted the secretary general ITAR-TASS.
Ban Ki-moon said that he "came with a heavy heart" to Russia.
"The president and I exchanged views on how we can work together in order to resolve this crisis ," said Ban.
"President Putin has been an important partner of the United Nations and is a recognized international leader ," said the secretary general .
Tomorrow Ban Ki-moon will go to Kiev for talks and urged Russia and Ukraine to start a direct dialogue.
