Head of National Guards of Georgia appointed

Captain Rati Tsakadze has been appointed the head of the department of
the national guards, Georgia Online reports.


Rati Tsakadze was born on June 23rd, 1979. He has a wife and two
children. Tsakadze started service in the armed forces in 2001, in the
first squadron of anti-tank division of artillery regiment of land
forces. In 2009-2010 he was heading the command staff of the 2nd
infantry brigade. Before his latest appointment he was heading the
10th staff brigade of the department of the national guards.


Tskadze has the following awards: 'Honor Medal of the US Army' for
participating in the Iraqi campaign, 2nd degree medal for valiant
service in the armed forces of Georgia; 'General Kvinitadze' medal for
the valiant fulfilment of duties; 'General Mazniashvili' medal for
success in military training and preservation of high readiness of
forces.


The post of the head of the department became vacant after the
appointment of Zurab Arsoshvili as the governor of Shida Kartli.
