Chinese President Xi Jinping met UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and discussed the situation in Ukraine yesterday, RIA Novosti reports.
The meeting was held in Netherlands where Xi Jinping arrived for the nuclear security summit. The Chinese leader reminded that he had proposed three steps to settle the conflict in Ukraine, encouraging the sides of dispute to find common grounds and refrain from new tensions.
Ban called for talks to find a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
