Georgian Minister of Agriculture Bakur Kvezereli has met the Iranian
Ambassador to Georgia Madjid Saber. They have discussed plans for
cooperation in agriculture. Iranian Ministry of Agriculture officials
were also at the meeting, Georgia Online reports.
The sides discussed such issues as the packing of agricultural
products, greenhouse construction, fruit export, livestock
development, meat production and meat processing plant construction.
They have also discussed the import of Iranian wheat to Georgia.
Iran has recently expressed interest in Georgian livestock and has
already imported 14 000 Georgian lambs.
