Eskişehir, announced in 2013 as the cultural capital of the Turkic world, has hosted events dedicated to the year's results.
The congress of media representatives of the Turkic world, held in this context, was attended by 120 journalists from 30 countries and 250 media representatives from 60 regions of Turkey, reports "AzerTAdzh".
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Education of Turkey, Nabi Avci, and heads of various journalists' organizations stressed the important role of the media in further strengthening ties between the Turkic peoples.
Then the TURKSOI awards were granted according to the year's results in the media. Among the recipients are the Azerbaijani TV channel "Culture" and the newspaper "Olaylar".
The awards were presented by the General Secretary of TURKSOI, Dusen Kaseinov.
