Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte said at the nuclear security summit in Hague that stockpiles of nuclear materials should be reduced, the IAEA action plan for nuclear security should be implemented and countries should study the architecture of nuclear security, RIA Novosti reports.He expressed joy that 53 countries and four international organizations were committed to a reduction of high-enriched uranium and plutonium stocks. Two thirds of countries promised to implement the recommendations of the IAEA in their national legislature, according to the initiative of the USA, South Korea and the Netherlands.Rutte predicts that detains will be ready for the summit hosted by the US in 2016.US President Barack Obama, the initiator of the summits, emphasized the importance to prevent smuggling of nuclear materials. He noted achievements of Belgium and Italy, the two countries that moved their uranium and plutonium for neutralization. Obama added that the US was working on improvement of cyber security at nuclear power plants and will produce medical isotopes from materials unsuitable for nuclear bombs.
