94 Azerbaijani troops are taking part in the ISAF operation in Afghanistan, Trend reports.
A peacekeeping squad of 22 troops from Azerbaijan was sent to Afghanistan on November 20, 2002. Its size grew to a platoon on January 15, 2008. The Azerbaijani parliament decided to make their total number 90 on October 2, 2009. Two additional medics and sappers were sent to Afghanistan in October 2010.
