Deputy economy minister says Georgia to establish European quality standards for food

Georgian Deputy economy minister Mikheil Dzhanelidze says the government is going to establish European quality standards for food. In order to achieve this goal, the authorities are going to improve Georgian legislation concerning food production, he says. 

 

According to economy expert Levan Kalandadze, the implementation of European standards will take at least 7 or 8 years. At the moment, Georgian standards are far behind European ones, he stresses.
