Russia hopes for negotiated settlement of Iranian nuclear dispute

Russia believes that opportunities still exist for a negotiated
settlement to the Iranian nuclear dispute and that new sanctions can
be avoided.

“We still haven’t lost hope in the possibility of finding a solution
to the Iranian nuclear problem by means of a dialogue with Iran,”
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, as quoted by Interfax.

“We are working in many directions, among these the offers by the Iran
Six, which have been made to Iran and modified many times,” he went
on.

“There is nothing going on right now that would give grounds to talk
about a new page or, even more so, a new chapter in this story,” he
added.
