Ukraine was not planning to break diplomatic relations with Armenia and will send an ambassador to it next week, said Igor Roman, an advisor t the Ukrainian embassy in Armenia, News Armenia reports.
Ukrainian Ambassador Ivan Kukhtu was called off back to Kiev on March 21 for consultations. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan met the ambassador the same day and said that recognition of the right for self-identification by Armenia will not be reconsidered and had been backed by the country for many years.
