Israeli ex-Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has been declared guilty over the Holy Land housing complex of Jerusalem, ITAR-TASS reports.
68-year-old Olmert was recognized guilty for receiving bribes during construction of the Holy Land housing complex. The company building it was paying functionaries at the mayor’s office in 1994-2007. Olmert, who was in charge of the office in 1993-2003, and his officials received millions of shekels for promotion of the project and numerous changes.
The Olmert case was initiated in 2007. He became prime minister in 2008 and resigned over corruption claims.
