US Secretary of State John Kerry has postponed his meeting with President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas, ITAR-TASS reports.
Kerry was planning to talk with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday and then meet the Palestinian leader on Tuesday. Kerry and Netanyahu spent about 3 hours talking yesterday and asked for another meeting this morning.
No official reports have been made about the topics they had discussed. Israeli governmental sources say that one of the issues they considered was release of US citizen Jonathan Pollard got life imprisonment in 1987 for spying for Israel.
Kerry visited Jerusalem and Ramallah to encourage peace talks in the Middle East.
