US State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said that there will be no extradition to Turkey of Fethullah Gulen, leader of the Hizmet movement.
Gulen requested asylum in Canada after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had threatened to demand his extradition. Gulen asked for political asylum in New Zealand as well. Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag noted that Gulen could be put on the international wanted list.
