Parliamentary commission on Muzychko murder demands dismissal of minister Avakov

The Ukrainian parliamentary commission investigating the murder of Alexander Muzychko, nicknamed Sasha Bily, a leader of the Right Sector, has demanded dismissal of acting Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, ITAR-TASS reports.

The parliament is expected to consider the idea on April 1.

Deputy Interior Minister Vladimir Yevdokimov said that Muzychko had been injured during an operation in the Rivne Oblast. Muzychko opened fire at law enforcers trying to detain him.

The Right Sector has already demanded resignation of Avakov and arrest of all people responsible for Muzychko’s death. Sergey Sobolev, head of the Fatherland fraction in the parliament, rules out dismissal of Avakov.
