A spokesman for the Pentagon said that the US may send warships to the Black Sea to becalm European allies agitated by Russia’s policy in Ukraine, Interfax reports.
A group of US officers plans to visit Europe to discuss joint military drills in the region.
US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said that diplomacy was the main tool to affect Russia. However, according to Hagel, the NATO and the US were planning additional actions placate European partners on near the Russian borders.
