Russian migration officers to take fingerprints of 6-year-olds

The Russian Federal Migration Service plans to start taking fingerprints of migrants’ children aged 6 and above, Gazeta.ru reports.

The procedure will be free. The data will be stored until the fingerprint owners reach the age of 100. According to current laws, fingerprint data is destroyed when its owner reaches the age of 80.
