PACE attitude towards Crimea improves – Russia

Alexey Pushkov, head of the Russian Duma Committee for International Affairs and head of the Russian delegation to the PACE, said that more PACE members were getting reluctant to boot Russia from the organization, RIA Novosti reports.

He emphasized that PACE delegations had been more hostile and wanted dismissal of Russia just two weeks ago. It is no longer an initiative of the majority, according to Slutsky.

The Russian delegate noted that the attitude of PACE states will be evident at the session on April 7. Slutsky added that Crimea could not be broken off again.

In his words, the EU will not take any more actions against Russia, unless it deploys troops to the eastern parts of Ukraine.
