Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council Artur Bagdasaryan and Head of the State Migration Service Gagik Yeganyan will make a two-day visit to Moscow today, invited by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, News Armenia reports.
They will meet Patrushev, Russian Vice Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, Head of the Federal Migration Service Constantine Romodanovsky. Documents will be signed after negotiations.
Amendments to the law on arrival and departure from Russia and the law on legal status of foreign citizens in Russia came into force on January 1, 2014. Foreigners allowed to enter Russia without visas can stay in the country for 90 days every 180 days, according to the amendments.
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said that the rules of temporary residency could change. Bagdasaryan asked Patrushev for simplified rules for Armenians.
