Alexey Pushkov, head of the Duma Committee for International Affairs, believes that the protests in Donetsk proved that there would be no stability in Ukraine without federalization, RIA Novosti reports.
Mass protests were organized under Russian flags in Donetsk, Kharkov and Lugansk yesterday. Protesters demanded a referendum on the status of their regions. Activists in Donetsk and Kharkov broke into their regional administrations, while protesters in Lugansk broke into the regional Directorate of the Security Service. The administration of Kharkov was de-occupied.
The police initiated a criminal case for hooliganism in Kharkov. A criminal case on mass unrest was initiated in Lugansk.
