Cooperation with Nato is essential for Georgia, FM says

Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Pandzhikidze says cooperation with the North Atlantic Alliance is essential for her country. Thus the minister supported the country's Parliamentary Speaker David Usupashvili, who said at the recent meeting of parliamentary speakers of the EU member-states that without Nato's aid Georgia would probably disappear from the globe.

"Mister Usupashvili has stressed that without Nato Georgia's very existence would be threatened, that cooperation with Nato is crucial for us," the minister is quoted as saying by Trend.
