Turkic Council summit in Istanbul

A summit of the Turkic Council is to take place in Istanbul on
September 15-16, reports 1news.az, citing Turkish mass media. The
heads of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Kirghizia have
already confirmed they will attend. The Council's office is to open in
Istanbul during the summit. Halil Akinci, former Turkish ambassador to
Russia, is to become the Council's Secretary General.
