Andrey Shishatsky, head of the Donetsk Regional Council who had quit the Party of Regions, has resigned, RIA Novosti reports.
Elections for his replacement will be held as soon as the Council is unoccupied by radicals. Igor Koval of the political council of the Party of Regions will be the acting head of the Council.
