Almaz-Antey, the largest manufacturer of anti-aircraft missile launchers, is ready to move the production of components for its products to Russia if Ukraine stops their supply, Deputy Chairman of the Military-Industrial Commission under the Government of the Russian Federation Oleg Bochkarev said today.
To date, some components are manufactured in Ukraine and then shipped to Russia.
"Almaz-Antey will be able to completely shift production to Russia, although the company will experience some inconvenience. However, we are ready to do it if Ukraine stops producing the necessary components and assemblies," RIA Novosti reports Bochkarev as saying.
He stressed that in this case the production will be entirely localized in Russia. "It is very important to preserve the right of Russia to all the documentation and intellectual property," Bochkarev said.
