Russian Representative to international organizations in Geneva Alexey Borodavkin said that settlement of the Syrian crisis would not be long-term and sustainable without assistance of Iran, ITAR-TASS reports.
Iran was on the list of about 40 countries willing to attend the Geneva-2 Conference in Montreux (Switzerland) on January 22. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon cancelled the invitation of Iran two days before the start of the conference.
