Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the West was making reviving the containment policy for Russia, ITAR-TASS reports.
The minister emphasized that de-escalation of the Ukrainian conflict would be possible if the West stopped legitimizing the new government. He noted that the key issue was to reform the Constitution with account of interests of all regions and strengthen the non-bloc status of the country.
Lavrov expressed readiness for a four-sided meeting for Ukraine to discuss settlement of the conflict and even gas issues.
