Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Victoria Syumar said that the military were mobilized for the counter-terrorism operation in the eastern part of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.
Defense Minister Colonel-General Mikhail Koval said that the military were preparing for the operation, to protect territorial integrity and defenses of the country.
Military vehicles were seen on the outskirts of Sloviansk. Three armored vehicles were seen on the outskirts of Kramatorsk near an air cooler factory. Locals were recommended to stay at home if an operation starts, ITAR-TASS reports.
