Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Gasanov has discussed cooperation prospects with Chief of the Iranian General Staff General Hassan Firuzabadi, Trend reports.
Firuzabadi noted that military authorities of both states had had numerous meetings and realized cooperation programs in the past 10 years. He expressed a readiness to continue cooperation to boost development and enforce stability of Azerbaijan and Iran.
The Iranian general noted that multilateral ties with other Muslim states were a priority for Iran. He added that the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Iran had contributed to cooperation in many fields.
The Azerbaijani defense minister observed Iranian-made weapons and vehicles during his two-day visit and signed agreements.
